Johnny Ray Parker, 79, of the Elkhorn community was born on April 7, 1943 to the late Arthur and Lorena (Antle) Parker. He departed this life on Monday, October 24, 2022 at the University of Kentucky Hospital.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Whites Ridge General Baptist Church. Mr. Parker was a knitting machine mechanic at Fruit of the Loom until the plant’s closure. He was also a former employee of J&K Tool and a farmer. He will be remembered best as a devoted and cherished husband, father, and grandfather.

3 children: Chris Parker and wife Billie of Campbellsville, Johnnie Lewis Parker of Elk Horn, and William Logan Parker of Bowling Green

3 grandchildren: Marina Parker, Emory Parker, and Makayla Cecil

3 siblings: Ron Parker, Burma Wheeler, and Pat Riggs

He was also preceded in death by his wife: Regina Mae (Watson) Parker; two children: Michelle Watson and Cheryl Corbin; and three siblings: Harlin Parker, Allen Parker, and Iona White.

Interment: Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery
