Marie Gupton, 91, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late William Barnes and Mattie Harmon Barnes, was born July 23, 1931 in Russell County, KY. She died at 9:43 A.M. on Thursday, October 13, 2022 in Campbellsville.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of God’s Grace Church. She was a retired worker at Fruit of the Loom where she worked for 37 years. Marie was a devoted Christian who read her Bible often.  She was a fantastic mother who always had a smile on her face, enjoyed time with all of her family, but most importantly, loved the Lord.

She united in marriage to Lewis H. Gupton November 12, 1949 and he preceded her in death on December 29, 2013.

2 sons: Ronnie Gupton & wife Lisa of Campbellsville and Jerry Gupton & significant other, Linda Moore of Springboro, Ohio;

1 daughter-in-law: Edna Gupton

9 grandchildren: Jade Sanders & husband Neil, Brandon Gupton & wife Amy, and Michelle Tucker & husband Frank of Campbellsville, Jason Gupton & wife Laura of Centerville, Ohio, Sarah Nottingham & husband Mark of Indianapolis, Indiana, Lindsay Saylor & husband Brad of Scottsdale, Arizona, Charlie Lininger & wife Kim of Corydon, Indiana, Hannah Rothrock & husband Ty of Ramsey, Indiana and Darren Gupton & wife Beth of Campbellsville

21 great-grandchildren

Marie was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Gupton and two brothers and two sisters:  Junior Barnes, Oakley Willis, Audrey Barnes Smith, and Aubra Barnes.
