Dwight Spencer “Spence” Wood, 75, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Granville and Bernice (Finn) Wood, was born June 10, 1947 in Metcalfe County, KY and departed this life on Friday, October 7, 2022 in Louisville at University Hospital.

He was a former salesman for Central Kentucky News Journal, a former landscape designer and was of the Christian faith. Spence, as he was known by many, enjoyed growing orchids and would help others become a green thumb when it came to growing flowers and plants. He was also an avid photographer.

1 brother: Michael “Mickey” wood & wife Manette of Mooresville, Indiana

1 nephew: Patrick Wood & wife Melissa of Batesville, Mississippi

Great-niece & nephew: Abigail and Nicholas Wood

A host of cousins and other relatives & friends

Funeral Service: Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at L.R. Petty Funeral Home with Rev. Freddy Thompson officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Visitation: After 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday

Memorials are suggested to the Gideon Bible Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
