Wanda Sue Hazelwood Carter, 72, of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Rev. John Arthur Perkins and Hazel Pauline Hazelwood Perkins, was born on June 20, 1950 and departed this life on Friday, October 7, 2022 in Greensburg. 

Wanda had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church of the Nolynn Association. She was a homemaker. Wanda had formerly worked for Fruit of the Loom and as a nurse’s aide at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.

Her husband of 54 years: Harold Carter of Greensburg

2 daughters & sons-in-law: Tammy Sue & Marty Jeffries and Donna Michelle & Bobby Benningfield of Green County

2 brothers & sisters-in-law: Russell & Joann Perkins and James & Brenda Perkins of Larue County

12 grandchildren: Jessica, Danielle, Krystal, Corey, Natalie, Emily, Nathan, Halie, Cassie, Bobby Joe, Jr., Amber, and Ashley

17 great-grandchildren

She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Jenny Carter; 2 brothers: Joe Perkins and Lonzie Perkins; and a sister-in-law, Denice Perkins.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 1:00pmCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Houk and Rev. Justin Dial officiating

Burial: Warf Cemetery

Visitation: Monday from 4:30pm-8:30pmCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and Tuesday after 7:00amCT
