Donald Dell “Duck” Durrett, 81, of Summersville, KY, son of the late Jack D. Durrett and Ida Oakley Milby Durrett, was born on Tuesday, May 20, 1941 in Green County, KY and departed to his heavenly home on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at his home.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in the Allendale Community. He was retired from General Electric after 42 years of service. After retirement he worked part-time for Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home. He was also a veteran having served in the United States Army.

His wife of 46 years: Rita Hash Durrett of Summersville
2 sons & a daughter-in-law: Jamie & Tina Durrett and Jeremiah “Jeremy” Durrett & his girlfriend, Robin Britton all of Green County
5 grandchildren: Andrew Dial, Leah Dial, Lydia Russell, Breanna Judd, and Hadleigh Grace Durrett
2 great-grandchildren: Lukas and Colton Dial
1 brother & sister-in-law: Bobby & Patty Durrett of Greensburg
1 brother-in-law: Dennis Hash of Louisville
A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends
Donald was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother: Elaine Brenton, Frances Roy, and J.D. Durrett.

Burial: Wilson Cemetery
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Wilson Cemetery Fund, Taylors Chapel Cemetery Fund or to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
