GERALD ANN BROWN, 80, CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY

 

Gerald Ann Brown, 80, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late William Mings and Cora Farmer Mings, was born October 15, 1941 in Taylor County and departed this life on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.

 

She professed her faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Gerald worked at the Fruit of the Loom for many years as a set sleeve. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a dear friend.


She united in marriage to Ezra Thomas Brown on August 16, 1956 and he preceded her death in 1981.


SURVIVORS:

2 daughters: Betty Vannice (& her significant other Harry McClandon) and Cindy Gail Harden, both of Campbellsville

6 grandchildren: Allan Thomas Skaggs of Campbellsville; Rachael Mae Cox of Campbellsville; Rebecca "Becky" JoAnn Scruggs of Adair County; John Thomas Brown of Campbellsville; Melissa French (& husband Kevin) of Campbellsville; and William Thomas Brown of Little Rock Arkansas

3 great-grandchildren: Damien Lynn Scruggs of Adair County, Autumn Scruggs of Campbellsville, and Austin Gilpin of Adair County

1 great-great-granddaughter: Ellia Scruggs of Adair County


Besides her parents and husband, Gerald was preceded in death by 2 sons: Thomas Kendell Brown and Gary Dean Brown, and by 4 brothers & 5 sisters.

 

FUNERAL: Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 2:00pmET at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville with Bro. John Batcher officiating

 

VISITATION: Thursday from 11:00am-2:00pmET at Auberry Funeral Home

 

Burial: Mt. Zion Cemetery

 

Pallbearers: Harry McClandon, Damian Scruggs, Jeff Scruggs, Ronnie Morgan, Janet Mings, and Zack Watson

 

Honorary pallbearer: Autumn Scruggs
