Ricky Lane Rood, 69, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Levi Harvey Rood and Lois Dean Moore Rood, was born January 7, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He died at 9:33 A.M., Wednesday, July 20, 2022 in Louisville.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Ricky was a retired auto mechanic and could fix anything.  He loved westerns, drag racing, UK basketball and especially his family.

His wife of 43 years: Kathy Rood of Campbellsville

1 son & 1 daughter: Brandon Rood and wife Natalie of Campbellsville and Kristy Rood of Elizabethtown

4 grandchildren:  McKenna Rood, Braxton Rood and Brody Rood of Campbellsville and Alexis Rood of Elizabethtown

1 brother & 1 sister: Mike Rood and wife Penny of Georgia and Patti Herron and husband Jeff of North Carolina

He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Bentley Scott Rood September 16, 2010.
