Rachel B. Foley, 85, of Campbellsville, KY (formerly of Casey County, KY), daughter of the late Homer L. and Bessie (Dermody) Burchell was born May 5, 1937 in Marion County and departed this life on Wednesday at Taylor Regional Hospital. 

Rachel was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and worked for the Hiestand House and Taylor County High School thru the Green Thumb Program and was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed cooking, reading (especially her recipe books), going from town to town with her family exploring, and always talking about all the good places she found to eat and would recommend them to family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Foley in 1986; 2 brothers: William and Perry Edward “EB” Burchell; and 3 step-siblings: Cecil Monday, Dwight Monday and JoAnn Riggins.

SURVIVORS:

3 children: Dean Burress and wife Tammy of Campbellsville, Doug Burress and companion Renee Sylvester, and Debbie Foley McNear and special friend Roger Pruitt of Campbellsville

1 brother and sister: Jimmy Burchell and wife Montie of Dry Creek and Katie Yaden of Ohio

3 grandchildren: Richard Burress and wife Erika, Chaz Burress and wife Brandy, and Heather Johnson

3 step-grandchildren: Garrett, Willie and Evie and their families

2 great-grandchildren: Harper and Hayden Burress

Funeral Service: Monday, June 27, 2022 at 2:00pmET at L.R. Petty Funeral Home (Acton-Mannsville Chapel) 250 Wooleyville Road, Campbellsville

Interment: Cold Springs Cemetery in Casey County

Visitation: Sunday from 5:00pm-8:00pmET and Monday after 8:00amET at the Acton-Mannsville Chapel
