Beechel Clark, 83, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late John Sylvester Sluder and Lettie Mae Cox Sluder, was born January 26, 1939 in Taylor County, KY. She died at 4:15 A.M. on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 in Campbellsville. 

Beechel professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker and had babysat for numerous children, most of whom still called her “Mammy.”  Beechel loved gospel and country music and visiting family, especially her grandbabies. She always had a smile for you and was best known for her punchbowl cake.

She united in marriage to Leslie Clark February 7, 1959 and he preceded her in death August 11, 2015.

SURVIVORS:

1 son & 1 daughter: Ronald Clark & wife Rose Ann and Sharon Read & husband John of Campbellsville

6 grandchildren: Jessica Clark, Leslie Ann Clark, Jamie Tuliano, Timmy Nelson, Rebecca Nelson and Sarah Hedgespeth

3 great-grandchildren: Jaxon Clark, Jaz Bright and Jagger Bright

8 step-great-grandchildren

4 sisters: Lillie Shirrell, Linda Newton & husband Michael, Helen Claywell & husband Gary and Jane Dudgeon of Campbellsville

Several nieces & nephews 

Many other relatives & friends

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Christie Mae Clark and 3 brothers & 2 sisters: James “Jimmy” Sluder, Harold Sluder, Charles Sluder, Shirley Graybeal and Aline Vannice.
