Harold Aaron McCubbin, 88, of the Gabe Community of Green County, KY, son of the late Elige Foist McCubbin and Nancy Alice DeSpain McCubbin was born on Monday, September 18, 1933 in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at the Baptist Health Hardin Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he was a Deacon. He was also retired from the former Clark Casual Manufacturing after 33 years of service.
SURVIVORS:
His wife of 65 years: Rozella Marr McCubbin of the Gabe Community having united in marriage on May 12, 1956
2 daughters and sons-in-law: Peggy and Benny Shirley of Summersville and Jonie and David Patterson of Greensburg
6 grandchildren and their spouses: Brad and Tracy Shirley, April Shirley, Brian and Jessi Shirley, Billy and Carla Patterson, Lesley and Matt Goodin, and Amanda and Andy Olson
17 great-grandchildren: Dustin, Andrew, Christian, Hannah, Cody, Tyler, Ryan, Zach, Amber, Ayden, Owen, Blake S. Blake R. Jarrod, Patience, Lexi and Abbie
5 great-great grandchildren (and one on the way)
A host of other relatives & many friends
Mr. McCubbin was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Lou McCubbin in 1959; 6 brothers and 2 sisters: Russell McCubbin, Dee McCubbin, George McCubbin, Emery McCubbin, Harlan McCubbin, and Carl McCubbin, Helen Warren and Mary Jane Dial.
