Bobby Gene Akin, 66, of Campbellsville, KY (formerly of Green County), the son of the late Walter and Elsie (Combs) Akin, was born August 21, 1955 in Warren County, KY and departed this life on Monday, April 4, 2022 at his home.
He was a carpenter and was of the Methodist faith.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Akin; a brother, Donald Ray Akin; and a sister, Sarah Lucille Moran.

1 step-grandson: Stanley McClister
His longtime partner: Linda Seaver & her daughters: Dr. Cassandra Stephens & husband William (and their son Tyler Stephens) of Campbellsville, KY and Joanna Morong & husband Brian (and their daughter Emily & husband Ruben) of Texas
