LAVERNE FEESE KENNON, 86, CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY

 

Laverne Feese Kennon, 86, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late James Rufus Feese and Villa Lee Dunbar Feese, was born March 30, 1935 in Adair County, KY. She died at 3:45 A.M., Wednesday, March 2, 2022 in Campbellsville.

 

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Sunny Hill Drive Church of Christ. Laverne was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and never forgot to send cards for their birthdays and many other special occasions. Laverne also loved giving treats to many other children on holidays and volunteered with 4-H clubs teaching children to sew. She was a mailbox member of the Modern Day Homemakers Club.

 

SURVIVORS:

1 daughter & son-in-law: April & Mike Bowen of Campbellsville

2 stepsons & daughters-in-law: Daran & Susan Kennon of Campbellsville and Lurien & Jeanetta Kennon of Smiths Grove

2 grandchildren: Shelley Hamilton & husband Shawn of Cox’s Creek and Clay Bowen of Campbellsville

4 step-grandchildren: Becky Van Cleave & husband Robbie, Travis Kennon, Kaitlyn Kennon and Miranda Kenon

2 great-grandchildren: Blake Hamilton and Bailey Hamilton

1 step-great-grandson: Lee Van Cleave

1 brother: Mickey Feese and wife Carol of Cane Valley

Sister-in-law: Norene Feese of Columbia

She was also preceded in death by a son in infancy, Mont Burton, III and 2 brothers and 8 sisters: Clem Feese, George Cyrus Feese, Della Arnold Johnson, Mattie Lee Feese, Rosa Lillian Feese, Euline Feese, Jeraldene Tucker, Maudye Hovious, Ludora Perkins and Betty Mae White.

BURIAL: Elk Horn Cemetery
