WILLIAM CALVIN HOBBS, JR., 71, COLUMBIA, KY

William Calvin Hobbs, Jr., 71, of Columbia, KY, son of the late William C. Hobbs, Sr. and Juanita Jones Hobbs, was born on May 10, 1950 in Henryetta, Oklahoma and departed this life on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Calvin served his country honorably in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He retired from the maintenance division of Scott Papers in Bowling Green and moved to Holmes Bend on Green River Lake. Calvin was known to be able to repair just about anything. He enjoyed troubleshooting and coming up with a solution. Calvin was an avid bass and crappie fisherman and thoroughly enjoyed living on the lake. He also enjoyed watching minor league baseball and all types of racing. He had a special companion in his dog, Dexter, who would often go with him to McDonald’s for a treat.
