BRO. CURTIS WAYNE SLINKER, 79, GREENSBURG, KY

 

Bro. Curtis Wayne Slinker, 79, of Greensburg, KY, son of the late Donald Russell Slinker and Dulcie M. Davis Slinker, was born May 28, 1942 in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. 


He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a Minister for the Boiling Springs Baptist Church for 46 years. He was a retired controller at Lindsey Wilson College, where he had also been the director of financial aid, a teacher and guidance counselor. He was a former teacher for the Green County School System. He was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM, and also a member of the Lynn Baptist Association where he served as a former moderator.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Clay Blakeman Slinker on December 20, 2013, having united in marriage on July 5, 1962.

His wife of 5 years: Corinne Borich Rogers Slinker of Greensburg
2 sons & daughters-in-law: Russ & Terri Slinker of Campbellsville and Dr. Jason & Ashly Slinker of Greensburg
3 step-children: Todd and Donna Rogers, Lee Ann Rogers, and Tommy and Dana Rogers all of Greensburg
10 grandchildren: Natalie Slinker, Nolan Slinker, Cassidy (Jake) Blair-Dixon, Noah Slinker, Caylie Blair, Jaylee Hammons, Zeth Rogers, Ashley Rogers, Hunter Rogers, & Kelsey Rogers
1 sister: Betty Ann Judd of Greensburg
Brother-in-law & sister-in-law: Ronnie and Gayle Blakeman of Greensburg

Funeral Service: Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 10:00amCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Eastham and Bro. Greg Estes officiating
 
Burial: Greensburg Cemetery 

Visitation: Tuesday from 3:00pm-8:00pmCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Wednesday until time of the funeral service.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund or the Greensburg Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
