Bobby Dee Cheek, 77, of Sparta, Georgia, formerly of Campbellsville, KY passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at U of L Jewish Hospital. He was born on July 13, 1944 to the late Quaver Arana and Zelma (Lawson) Cheek.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Cheek was retired from the GE plant in Louisville and was a veteran, having served his country honorably in the United States Navy.
He was the husband of Mrs. Shirley Ann (Rhule) Cheek, who preceded him in death on December 20, 2015.

3 children: Billy Carmickle and wife Debbie of Campbellsville, Terry Carmickle and wife Donna of Louisville, and Lori Carmickle of Campbellsville
4 siblings: Cecil Cheek of Louisville, Jewell Swartz of Elizabethtown, Jerry Cheek of Sparta, Georgia, and Michael Cheek and wife Cheryl of Sparta, Georgia
9 grandchildren: Brad Curry and wife Kristen, Heather Curry, Billy Joe Carmickle, Terry Carmickle, II, Chad Carmickle and wife Kristi, Kerra Carmickle, Shane Vaughn, Jeremy Vaughn and wife Sarah, and Daniel Williamson

FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday, January 3, 2022 at 11:00amET at L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville, KY
INTERMENT: Callahan Cemetery with full military honors will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard
