James “Jimmy” Leonard Stocking, 65, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Leonard George Stocking and Lucille Hardin Stocking, was born September 11, 1956 in Jefferson County and departed this life on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, KY.

He professed his faith in Christ and attended Campbellsville Baptist Church.

SURVIVORS:

1 daughter: Linda Johnson & husband William of Campbellsville

1 son: Leonard Lee Stocking of Campbellsville

2 grandchildren: Alanis Stocking & her fiancé Dustin Summers and Ethan Yocom, both of Campbellsville

2 great-grandchildren: Kyland Summers and Letty Summers, both of Campbellsville.

1 brother & 3 sisters: David Adams of Louisville; Doris Adams of Rhode Island; Madeine Adams of Harrodsburg; and Georgetta Denham of Louisville.

Besides his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Adams and a half-sister.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 2:00pmET at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville

VISITATION: Thursday from 11:00am-2:00pmET at Auberry Funeral Home

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for expressions of sympathy be taken in the form of donations to Gideon Bibles and can be made at the funeral home.
