Ora Lee Deener Morris, 97, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late John William Deener and Willie Sullivan Deener, was born February 2, 1924 in Taylor County, KY. She died at 10:25pmET on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in Campbellsville.

She professed faith in Christ at age 12 and was a lifelong member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was a retired co-owner of Morris Carpet Store in Campbellsville that she and her husband founded.

Ora Lee united in marriage to Leslie Morris September 13, 1942 and he preceded her in death November 9, 1987.

SURVIVORS:

2 sons: Gerald Morris & wife Teresa of Campbellsville and Rev. Danny Morris & wife Joyce of Lakeland, Florida

3 grandchildren: Christy Morris of Campbellsville, Lisa Morris Yates & husband Steve of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and Dan Morris of Yulee, Florida

6 great-grandchildren: Jessica Morris, Gabriel Morris, Abigail Morris, James Yates & wife Nica, Raymond Yates & wife Madelyn, and Lauren Yates Kling & husband Zachary

2 great-great-grandchildren: Mirah Yates and Theo Yates (and expecting twin great-great-grandchildren)

1 brother: Colby Deener & wife Gloria of Campbellsville

Several nieces and nephews

Many other relatives and friends

She was also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters: Walter Deener, Robert “Bob” Deener, James Deener, Lillian Richerson, Dorothy Kessler, and Mae Wayne.
