MARJORIE SUE EDWARDS, 82, CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY

 

Marjorie Sue Edwards, 82, of Campbellsville, KY was born on January 11, 1939 in Louisville to the late Jessie and Ardella (Schmidt) Provenozano Purvis. She departed this life on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the Norton Pavilion in Louisville, KY.

 

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of First Church of God. She was a retiree of the Campbellsville Independent School District, having worked primarily as a bus moniter, and a former employee of Fruit of the Loom. A very proud wife, mother, and grandmother, she also had a very strong faith in God - and loved her church family almost as much as her own.

Her husband: Donald Edwards

1 daughter: Vickie Knifley and husband Rodney of Campbellsville

1 brother: Gerald Purvis and wife Margie of Buffalo

6 grandchildren: Shannon Hughes and husband Stuart, DeAnna Reliford and husband Jason, Jessica Thomas, Justin Farmer, Amanda Jessie, and Brittany Mann and companion Jeremy Sprowles

10 great-grandchildren: Caleb Hughes, Logan Reliford, Isaac Underwood, Zachery Johnson, Ethan Knifley, Landon Knifley, Lillian Mann, Gunner Mann, Regan Jessie, and Brylee Sprowles

Daughter-in-law: Trina Farmer of Columbia

A host of other family and friends

  

She was also preceded in death by 3 children: Karen Sue Farmer, Sharon Kaye Lawson, and Robert Albert Farmer and a grandson, Joshua Knifley.

 

Funeral Service: Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Evan Tedder officiating

 

Burial: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery

 

Visitation: Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 PM EST at the funeral home
