OBITS

REBECCA LYON COLVIN, 72, CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY

Rebecca Lyon Colvin, 72, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late Earl Lyon and Sally Bartley Lyon was born August 18, 1949 in Glasgow, KY. She died at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in Campbellsville after her valiant struggle with Parkinson’s disease.

Becky accepted Jesus as her Savior early in life and was an active member at Palestine Baptist Church. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Campbellsville College and Master of Arts from Western Kentucky University and retired after teaching English and Spanish for 30 years at Campbellsville High School. Becky enjoyed crafting, sewing, baking and watching her grandchildren. She had much rather be doing outdoor chores than housekeeping; mowing, weed eating and taking care of her flowers were her methods of de-stressing after a day of teaching. She also helped Larry with milking before going to school.

Becky united in marriage to Larry Colvin August 7, 1970.
