William “Billy Ray” Philpott, 80, son of the late Cecil and Lottie Philpott was born June 14, 1941 in Campbellsville. He passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Billy Ray was a retired heavy equipment operator, and helped build interstates, parkways, and roads all across Kentucky. He loved his family, his pets, auto racing, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and antiques.

Billy Ray united in marriage to Linda Gail Philpott on August 13, 1960. She preceded him in death December 20, 2011.

SURVIVORS:

1 son and 1 daughter: Robbie Philpott and wife Sandra of Campbellsville and Veronica Allen of Lexington

2 grandsons: Cole Bland and Ethan Philpott both of Campbellsville

1 sister: Pauline Pike of Campbellsville
