Jessie Douglas Clark, 81, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Roy Hobert Clark and Mary Haggie Gribbins Clark, was born December 1, 1939 in Taylor County, KY. He died at 9:35 P.M. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in Campbellsville.  

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Salem Baptist Church, where he was a custodian for 25 years. He was known to be a hard worker, having been employed at Fruit of the Loom, Chappell’s Dairy, Walmart and Fleetwood. Doug was a very loving husband, father and grandfather.

He united in marriage to Diane Bright Clark February 26, 1959 and she preceded him in death July 15, 2015.

2 sons & 3 daughters: Jeff Clark & wife Sherry, Mark Clark & wife Laura, Teresa Ralls, and Karen Mardis & husband Gary of Campbellsville, KY; Kathy Clark of Bowling Green, KY

11 grandchildren: Jeremy Clark, Lydia Clark Corey and husband, Gill, Shayla Clark, Scott Seaborne & wife Shaina, Casey Seaborne & wife Allie, Jessica Seaborne, Rachel Reynolds & husband Tyler, Chad Payton & wife Nicole, Matt Payton & wife Whitney, Mason Mardis & wife Erica, and Sasha Jones & husband Justin

18 great-grandchildren

1 brother and 1 sister: Buford Clark of Macon, Georgia and Laverne Sapp of Campbellsville, KY

Several nieces & nephews and many other relatives & friends

He was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: Leslie Clark, Gordon Clark, Gladys Franklin and Beulah Pyles.
