CAROLYN MARCUM MORRIS, 71, CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY

 

Carolyn Marcum Morris, 71, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late James "Bill" Wesley Murphy and Elle Frances (Cull) Murphy, was born in Taylor County on April 27, 1950 and departed this life peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, August 26, 2021 in Campbellsville, KY.

 

She professed her faith in Christ. Carolyn was a member of the American Legion of Campbellsville. She was a very loving mother and grandmother, and showed great care and compassion to all who knew her. She had a passion for dancing and loved watching country music videos. Carolyn built starters at Ingersoll Rand in Campbellsville and retired after many years of employment.

 

She united in marriage to James "Jimmy" Morris, who precedes her in death on October 13th, 2018.

 

SURVIVORS:

1 son: JJ Marcum of Campbellsville, KY

1 granddaughter: Lexi Marcum of Campbellsville, KY

2 step-grandsons: Shawn Larger & wife Becca and Darrin Larger, both of Campbellsville, KY

1 unborn great-granddaughter: Laklynn Marcum

3 sisters: Mary Ann Thomas & husband Bernard of Calvary, KY; Diane Bland & husband Ricky of Campbellsville, KY; and Betty Burris & husband Danny of Russell Springs, KY

1 brother: Billy Murphy of Campbellsville, KY

 

Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Marcum was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Jackie Marcum

Funeral Service: Monday, August 30, 2021 at 11:00amET at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville

 

Burial: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens

 

Visitation: Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 5:00pm-9:00pmET at the funeral home

 

Pallbearers: Shawn Thomas, Jagger Thomas, John Marcum, Scott Abell, Kevin Abell, and Robbie Rogers.

 

Honorary pallbearers: Billy Murphy and Donnie Marcum.

 

In lieu of flowers the family has ask for expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River and can be made at the funeral home.

 

Auberry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
