ALTON STEWART HAINES, 90, HISEVILLE, KY

 

Alton Stewart Haines, 90, of Hiseville, KY (formerly of Mannsville, KY) passed from this life on Monday, August 2, 2021. He was born in Carroll County, Maryland on April 11, 1931 to the late Walter Turner, Sr. and Mary Pauline (Wantz) Haines.

 

Mr. Haines had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith.

 

Alton met and married the love of his life, Ms. Barbara Hutchinson, who he affectionately referred to as “Jones”. Together they owned and operated various dairy farms in their home state of Maryland and started a family. They moved their growing family to Kentucky and continued their passion for farm life on a large dairy farm in Mannsville and then later in Campbellsville. They shared 62 years of marriage until her passing in February 2019. Alton also spent several years with Cox Interior in addition to farming. All who knew Alton experienced the tremendous character and work ethic that he personified.

 

SURVIVORS:
4 children: Donna Durbin of Cave City, KY; Tom Haines & wife Tonya of Campbellsville, KY; Will Haines & wife Tammy of Greensburg, KY; and Charlie Haines & wife Karin of Huntsville, AL
13 grandchildren: Christopher Durbin, Zachary Durbin, Lauren Bennett & husband Jamie, Elizabeth Coffey & husband Josh, Emily Cook & husband Chris, Jacob Haines, Shelby Haines, Jessica Lewis & husband Chip, Ashley Haines, Morgan Haines, Chase Haines, Charley Haines, and Chandler Haines
5 great-grandchildren: Riley Coffey, Elaine Cook, Colbie Coffey, Rosalind Bennett, and Thomas Jack Cook
A host of other family & friends
   

Mr. Haines chose cremation.

 

Celebration of Life Service: Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 3:00pmET (2:00pmCT) at L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Jamie Bennett officiating

 

Visitation: After 1:00pmET (12:00pmCT) on Saturday at the funeral home
