George Lee Harris, 75, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Orby and Jessie (Whitlock) Harris, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, July 26, 2021 at Taylor Regional Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Marion County on December 18, 1945.

George had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a lifelong farmer and a timber cutter and sawmill worker. He enjoyed spending time in God’s creation, and was a talented animal trainer with a passion for hunting and fishing.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by five siblings: Jimmy Harris, Charles Harris, David Harris, Carl Harris, and Dottie Mae Bagby.

SURVIVORS:

4 children: George D, Harris and wife Kim of Raywick, Chad Isaiah Harris and wife Sheena of Green County, Tammy Sue Fisher and husband Michael of Franklin, and Ramona Gail Burris and husband Tracey of Campbellsville

5 siblings: Minnie Sullivan of Campbellsville, Modean Keeling of Mt. Washington, and Betty Graham, Mary Rose Hensley, and Kathy Thompson, all of Campbellsville

14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren

Mr. Harris chose cremation. All services were performed privately.
