Margie Hughes, 85, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late Clyde Gilpin and Sally B. (Hardwick) Gilpin, was born on October 13th, 1935, in Casey County, KY and departed this life peacefully on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. 

She married Orville J. Hughes on March 22nd, 1958. They enjoyed 57 wonderful years together, until his passing on January 25th, 2015.

Margie professed her faith in Christ and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

She worked as a homemaker and believed in being a selfless servant, assisting others brought her great joy. She loved music and singing; being active in church and enjoyed cooking for family and friends.

2 daughters and 1 son: Linda Faye and Charlene Gabbert both of Campbellsville, KY; Andy Hughes and wife Becky of Westfield, Indiana

3 grandchildren: David Allen Gabbert and wife Jessica of Campbellsville, Chelsea Frazier and husband Seth of Westfield, IN, and Graham Hughes and fiancé Megan Mishler of Carmel, IN

4 great-grandchildren: Zachary Gabbert and Evan Gabbert both of Campbellsville, KY; Beckett Frazier and Sutton Frazier both of Westfield, IN

Special friends: Suzanne and Hearl Roberts and Jerril Bloodworth

Margie was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 1 brother: Helen Spradlin, Judy Buck, Teresa Bright, and Ronald Gilpin.

BURIAL: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens
