David Elwood Richerson, 88, of Campbellsville, KY was born on April 15, 1933 in Taylor County to the late Harry Malcolm and Nancy Louise (Griffin) Richerson. He departed this life on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Taylor Regional Hospital.

Mr. Richerson had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer. Having never met a stranger, Mr. Richerson loved to talk and socialize. Eating good restaurant food with friends and family was a favorite way to spend an afternoon. He was also a talented mechanic and enjoyed tinkering with motors. He took great pleasure in watching his chickens scratch around and loafing with friends.

1 son: David Wayne Richerson and wife Teresa of Campbellsville

5 grandchildren: Travis Hosak, Kristopher Gallagher and wife Ashley, Karis Wright and husband Jacob, Malcolm Richerson and wife Sirinan, and Kaylin Carranza and husband Ederson

10 great-grandchildren

A host of nieces & nephews and other family & friends

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Sue hosak-Gallagher.

Memorial Service: Friday, May 14, 2021 at 7:00pmET in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY
