Orene Mae Sapp Richenburg, 93, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late John Green Sapp and Thelma Mae Rose Sapp, was born July 13, 1927 in Taylor County, KY. She died at 9:47 A.M., Tuesday, May 4, 2021 in Campbellsville.    

Orene professed faith in Christ at a young age and was a charter member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church. She loved her church, taught Sunday School and GA’s and led many children to Christ. Orene was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and owner and operator of Margaret Ann’s Flowers in Campbellsville. She loved cooking and baking for her family.

1 granddaughter: Jeanie Matney and husband Kerry of Campbellsville

2 step-grandchildren: Lisa Burton and Ricky Ray & wife Peggy of Campbellsville

5 great-grandchildren:  Austin Matney and wife Sarah, Autumn Matney, Candice Coulter, Cory Burton and Dustin Burton

2 sisters: Margaret Ann Graybeal of Campbellsville and Virgie Suell of Jeffersonville, Indiana

Many other friends and relatives

She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Gregory Hearon February 23, 2005 and three brothers and two sisters:  Tommy Sapp, Clem Sapp, John Sapp, Jr., Avis Carby and Geneva Bright.
