SHIRLEY BELL, 78, CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY

 

Shirley Bell, 78, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late Elmer Lee Lewis and Nona Ethel Underwood Lewis, was born February 24, 1943 in Taylor County, KY. She died at 4:53 P.M. on Friday, March 12, 2021 in Glasgow, KY.  

 

She professed faith in Christ early in life and was of the Baptist Faith.

She was retired from Taylor Regional Hospital after twenty-four years of service and had worked at Wishy Washy Laundry for several years previously. Shirley enjoyed many activities like dancing, shopping, dining out, traveling and spending time with her family. She also loved her flowers and being outdoors.

 

She united in marriage to Donald Eugene Bell who preceded her in death in 1982.

 

SURVIVORS:

1 daughter: Nona Wise and husband Paul of Campbellsville, KY

5 grandchildren: Fayth Wise of Campbellsville, KY; Kristy Thompson and husband Erick, David Allen Thompson and wife Brandy, and Nathan Thompson all of Greensburg, KY; Daniel Thompson of Elizabethtown, KY

6 great-grandchildren: Zander Thompson, Samuel Thompson, Noah Thompson, Charity Thompson, Andrea Thompson and James Thompson, all of Greensburg, KY

1 brother: Buck Lewis and wife Wanda of Campbellsville, KY

Sister-in-law: Barbara Shirleen Brewer

Several nieces & nephews

Many other relatives & friends

 

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Thompson and one sister and two brothers: Nancy Giles, Norman Lewis and Ronnie Lewis.

 

WALK-THRU VISITATION: 5:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday following social distancing guidelines; masks are required

 

FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Steve Skaggs and Ronald Lewis

 

BURIAL: Mt. Washington Baptist Church Cemetery

 

PALLBEARERS: Keith Bell, Steve Giles, Steve Grady, Mike Lee, Steve McDaniel, and Brett Sapp
