Melinda Alice “Mendi” Milby Laslie, 55, of the Hudgins Community of Green County, KY, daughter of Julia Sue Mitchell Milby of Green County and the late Willie Vernos Milby, was born on Wednesday, October 6, 1965 in Green County and went home to be with Jesus on Friday, March 5, 2021at her home. .
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Brush Creek Baptist Church, was an Attorney-at-Law for the Kentucky Legal Aid for 30 plus years, and was Junior Chamber International Senator with the U.S. Junior Chamber of Congress.

Husband of 26 years: Mitchell Jay Laslie of Hudgins Community, having united in marriage on December 10, 1994
5 children: Matthew Jacob Laslie, Melissa Hays & husband Matt, Michelle Jeffries & husband Jon, Melinda Staten & husband Wes, and Joeph Reynolds & wife Rebecca, all of Green County, KY
4 special children: Christy Conrad, Brandon Conrad, Scott Montgomery, & Kim Montgomery
1 sister & brother-in-law: Angie & Tommy Watkins of Greensburg
1 brother & sister-in-law: Russ & Mary Jo Milby of Harrodsburg
Sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law: Brenda Millet, Gale Hance, Linda Taylor, Judy Catlett, Sandy Jackson, and Jamie Laslie
14 Grandchildren & 1 great-grandchild

Mrs. Laslie was also preceded in death by a son: Mitchell Jordan Laslie on April 23, 2003; and three brothers-in-law: Mike Laslie, James Robert Laslie, and Richie Laslie.

Funeral Service: 1:00pmCT on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery. Bro. Timmy Shirley and Bro. Jerry Noe officiating.
