Dantha Kay Bagby Whitman, 77, of the Hudgins Community of Green County, KY, daughter of the late Ray M. Bagby and Cleta Nell Blankenship Bagby, was born on Wednesday, January 19, 1944 in Green County and departed this life on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at the Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY after emergency surgery.
Dantha had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church. She was also co-owner and operator of the Whitman’s Grocery & Supply. Mrs. Whitman was a survivor of the Greensburg Deposit Bank & Trust bank robbery in 2007.

Husband of 60 years: Don Wesley Whitman of the Hudgins Community
1 daughter and son-in-law: Sherry and Dale Powers Elizabethtown
3 grandchildren: Keaton Ford of Larue County, Drew Powers, and Gaige Powers both of Elizabethtown
1 great-grandchild
Brother-in-law & sister-in-law: C.J. and Sharon Whitman of Hudgins
Nieces & nephews: Jason and Melissa Whitman of Hudgins, and Jennifer and Matt Farmer of Hodgenville

Mrs. Whitman was also preceded in death by a daughter: Anita Sue “Suzy” Ford on November 17, 2017.

Funeral Service: 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Aetna Grove Cemetery. Bro. Kelvin Edwards officiating.
Walk-Thru Visitation: After 11:00 A.M., Central Time, Saturday
