Joe Bridgewater, 85, was born August 7, 1935 in Greensburg, KY to the late Otto Bridgewater and Selestine Anderson Bridgewater. He departed this life Thursday, January 7, 2021 at his residence at 4014 Campbellsville Road.

Joe was a very devoted and faithful man to his family & church. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Greensburg, KY where he was  Deacon and Chairman of the Deacon Board and remained a member until his death. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 2 sons: Robert Lee Bridgewater and David Alexander Bridgewater; 6 sisters: Queen Bridgewater, Nora Wicker, Gertrude Powell, Omelia Thorton and Faye Mitchell; and 2 brothers: Ed Bridgewater and Amos Bridgewater.

1 sister: Ernestine Martin

2 daughters & a son-in-law: Jennifer Edelen and Annette Carney (Reginald Carney).

4 sons & 2 daughters-in-law: Melvin Mitchell, Amos Bridgewater, James Bridgewater (Lisa Bridgewater), Calvin Lee Bridgewater (Stacey Bridgewater)

18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, & 3 great-great-grandchildren
