Winfred "Wimp" Simpson, 80, of Green County, KY passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at his home. He was born on August 5, 1940 in Green County, KY, the son of the late Cecil “Teetle” Simpson and Alline Milby Simpson.
Winfred had made a profession of faith in Christ. He was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church of the Nolynn Association. He joined the church on October 10, 1971, where he served as a Deacon, a Clerk, Sunday School Superintendent, and Trustee. He was Nolynn Association Campground Trustee for 20 years, a lifelong farmer, a member of the Greensburg/Green County and Grab Fire Departments since 1989, and also a Green County Cattlemen’s Association member.

2 grandchildren: Addi Marie Skaggs & Daylee Brooke Skaggs
3 sisters and a brother-in-law: Willow Dean Jewell, Elaine Bishop, and Mitzi & Rendell Heath
1 sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Elaine Simpson and Lanny Bastin

Private Family Service: Friday, January 29, 2021 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg with Bro. Ronda Arnett, Bro. Charlie Houk, and Bro. Jerry Lynn Scott officiating.
Burial: Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church of the Nolynn Association Cemetery.
Public Graveside service: Friday at approximately 12:30pmCT following the service.
Walk-Thru ONLY Visitation: 3:00pm-8:00pmCT on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the funeral home and from 7:00am-10:30amCT on Friday.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church of the Nolynn Association, which can be made at the funeral home.
