JOHNNIE ABELL, 91, CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY

 

Johnnie Abell, 91, of Campbellsville, KY son of the late Eugene E. Abell and Lucia Ray Mann Abell, was born June 2, 1929 in Adair County, KY. He died at 2:05 P.M., Monday, December 21, 2020 in Campbellsville.  

 

Johnnie was a retired foreman of Hoosier Concrete Company and a retired farmer. Johnnie professed faith in Christ and attended Elk Horn United Methodist Church. He brought joy and happiness to family, friends and community alike, being best known for his caring, loving and generous heart.

 

Johnnie was also preceded in death by 2 sons: Gregory Abell and Eddie Abell; 2 brothers and 1 sister: Edward Abell, William Ray Abell and Lucille Blair and 2 sons-in-law: Billy Ellis and Michael Callahan.

 

SURVIVORS: 

Wife of 56 years: Onia Abell of Campbellsville, KY

2 sons: John Abell & wife Renee of Columbia, KY; Ernie Abell

3 daughters: Regena Russell & husband Richard, and Brenda Callahan of Campbellsville, KY; Cathy Kingdollar of Tennessee

1 daughter-in-law: Lawanna Abell of Campbellsville, KY

4 grandchildren: Lisa Pyles of Shelbyville, KY; Benjamin Callahan, Amanda Kelley & husband Josh and Willie Abell of Campbellsville, KY

4 great-grandchildren: Ethan Kelley, Isaac Abell, Maley Abell and Lacee Pyles

1 brother-in-law & 1 sister-in-law: Bradley Hoosier and Zelma Lotter of Campbellsville, KY

Several  grandchildren & great-grandchildren

Several nieces, nephews and many other relatives & friends
