JOSEPH THADDEUS SMITH, 88, CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY


Joseph Thaddeus (Thad) Smith, 88, of Campbellsville, KY son of the late Joseph Clarence Smith and Croakie Josephine Mudd, was born on October 18, 1932 in Washington County, KY and departed this life on December 16, 2020 at his home after an extended illness.

 

He had professed his faith in Christ and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Campbellsville, KY. Thad served honorably in the US Army. He continued to serve and work, for several years, as a civilian Art Illustrator at Fort Knox. He served as a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels Association. He owned and operated Green River Graphics, formerly Thad-Art, for over 40 years and was an avid bowler.

 

SURVIVORS:
Wife: Teresa Odell Smith of Campbellsville, KY whom he wed on May 21st, 1960

2 sons and 2 daughters: Jerome Scott Smith, Donna Maria Wolford, Joseph Dale Smith, and Mary Lynn Smith all of Campbellsville, KY

7 grandchildren: Jacob Wolford, Ashley Rameriz, Joseph Smith, Cameron Turner, and Ethan Stamp all of Campbellsville, KY; April McKeil of Murray, KY; and Henry Smith of Lansing, Michigan

12 great-grandchildren

Besides his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 5 sisters, and one daughter, Teresa Carol Smith.

 

Funeral services will be at 11am EST, Monday, December 21st, 2020 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church located at 429 North Central Ave. in Campbellsville.  

 

Walk through visitation is requested from 5pm-8pm EST, Sunday, December 20th, 2020 at Auberry Funeral Home.

Visitation will continue from 9am EST, Monday, December 21st, 2020, until the time of the service at the church. Yes Father Saju Vadakumpadan will be officiating the service.

 

Burial to follow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Cemetery with full military honors.

 

Social distancing guidelines and mask are required upon entering building.
