Doris Lorraine Beams, 91, the daughter of the late R.C. and Mary (Erwin) Gowen, was born June 16, 1929 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Monday, November 2, 2020 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was a former Fruit of the Loom employee, as well as managing a custodial service, and raised chickens commercially until a fire destroyed the operation. Doris loved flowers, crocheting, and sewing. She was also an artist and wrote poems - two of which were published.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William Bloyd Beams in 2007, a step-son: William Bloyd, Jr., a brother: Finis Gowen, two sisters: Carolyn Dickens and Charlotte Crowe and a granddaughter: Jill Rainwater.

3 daughters: Wanda Jane Hall & husband Melvin, Sherri Rainwater & husband Johnnie, and Pamela Colvin & husband Donald, all of Campbellsville, KY
14 grandchildren: Regina, Angela, Scott, Amamda, Brian, Jr., Tammi, Timmy, Tommy, Jemima, Shelly, Justin, John Jr and Julie
A host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren
Funeral Service: Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with Elder Rueal Boils officiating
Burial: Beams Cemetery #1
Visitation: After 11:00 A.M. Thursday
