OBITS

ELIZABETH HAYS, 73, CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY

Elizabeth Nolan Hays, 73, of Campbellsville, KY passed away at home on Monday, October 12, 2020. She was born in Springfield, KY,

A committed and caring teacher, Liz delighted in the hundreds of elementary students she taught over 27 years. She was a devout Catholic. She was an accomplished bridge player, strategic in ways that her family doesn’t fully understand, though some of her friends might. She added sparkle to everything. She loved antiques because she loved the humanity that she saw in them; she loved to learn about people and what they could do. She told great stories about little things that she saw the humor or sweetness in. Her specialties were pecan pie and corn pudding and she loved to keep people warm.

SURVIVORS:
Husband: Phil Hays
1 daughter: Jessica Hays Lucas (Shawn)
1 son: Philip Hays (Leigh)

A host of nieces and nephews
