Franklin Dea Ray, 82, of Greensburg, KY, son of the late Albert Ray, Sr. and Pearl Whitehead Ray, was born September 4, 1937 in Green County and departed this life on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, and was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Minor Ray on July 21, 2004 having united in marriage on September 22, 1956.
Mr. Ray was also preceded in death by a son: David Alan Ray on January 14, 2015; 1 grandson: Michael Steven Ray on July 26, 2020; 3 brothers & 3 sisters: James Ray, Twyman Ray, Leslie W. "Bill" Ray, Sally Walker, Alene Underwood, and Nora Coast; 3 half-brothers: Mickey Ray, William Ray, and Ronnie Ray; 1 step-sister: Helen Wright.

2 sons & daughters-in-law: Mike and Peggy Sue Ray, Lloyd and Sheila Ray all of Greensburg
4 daughters & sons-in-law: Brenda & William Rose, Betty & Tommy Curry all of Greensburg, Debi & David Newton, and Tina & Mark Meece all of Campbellsville
7 grandchildren & 17 great-grandchildren
2 half-brothers: Albert "June Bug" Ray and Larry Ray, both of Greensburg

Burial: Tabernacle Cemetery
Walk-Thru Visitation: 4:00pm-8:00pmCT on Saturday at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7:00amCT on Sunday. Due to Covid-19, please continue to practice social distancing.
