NAOMI BENNINGFIELD, 87, CAMPBELLSVILLE


Naomi Benningfield, 87, of Campbellsville, KY daughter of the late Johnie Page & Nettie Karnes Page, was born June 15, 1933 in Taylor County, KY. She died at 2:48 A.M., Friday, July 3, 2020 in Campbellsville. 

 

Naomi professed faith in Christ and was the oldest living member of Spurlington United Methodist Church where she was very active with the Methodist Women. She retired as lunchroom manager with the Taylor County School System after 29 years and was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom, in addition to supporting her husband in the family farm operation. She has been referred to as a “mother to many, a friend to all”.

 

She united in marriage to Lyndon Benningfield January 19, 1951 and he preceded her in death on June 10, 2015.

 

She was also preceded in death by a son, Terry Wayne Benningfield June 25, 2011.  

 

SURVIVORS: 

1 son & 1 daughter: Roger Benningfield & wife Patti of Campbellsville and Peggy Slone & husband Andy of Lexington; 1 daughter-in-law: Donna Benningfield of Campbellsville; 6 grandchildren: Jennifer Kaye Benningfield, Ryan Adam Benningfield, Derek Benningfield & wife Jamie, Lindsey Gordon & husband Adam, Aaron Slone & wife Ajjea and Brittany Slone; 6 great-grandchildren: Aesen, Leah and Kaden Gordon, Preston and Anders Slone and Kelsea Murphy; 1 brother and 1 sister: Richard Page & wife Brenda of Campbellsville and Mayme Gilbert of Greenwood, Indiana; 2 sisters-in-law: Janice Thompson of ElkHorn and Doris Jean Newton of Campbellsville; 2 caregivers: Delores Newton and Dellen Shabazz; Special friend: Brenda Arbuckle; several nieces & nephews and many other relatives and friends.

 

VISITATION: After 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home with social distance guidelines

 

FUNERAL SERVICE:  1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Robert Morris
