Bessie Maye (Benedict) Callahan, 55, of Campbellsville, KY was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 25, 1964 to the late Ollie Dean and Bonnie Lee (Richardson) Benedict. She departed this life on Monday, June 29, 2020 at Taylor Regional Hospital.
Bessie had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith. She was a homemaker too, and the devoted wife of Coy Callahan, Jr., who preceded her in death on March 4, 2010.

3 daughters: Maria Fajardo, Candice Callahan, & Lacrisha Callahan, all of Campbellsville, KY
1 brother: Bobby Lee Benedict & wife Barbara of Indianapolis, IN
7 grandchildren: Riley, Raelyn, Clarissa, “Buba Lou”, Emmett, Shane, and Skyler
Close friends: Jake Caulk, Billy Melson, and Tommy Pyles

Funeral Service: Friday, July 3, 2020 at 1:00pmET in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Current social distancing guidelines will be in effect.
Interment: Callahan Cemetery
Visitation: Friday, July 3, 2020 from 11:00amET until time for the service
