BETTY JEAN TURNER GRAVES, 80, CAMPBELLSVILLE

 
Betty Jean (Turner) Graves, 80, of Campbellsville, KY passed from this life on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Taylor Regional Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Owen and Mary Barbara (Calhoun) Turner and was born January 29, 1940 in Taylor County. 
 
As a young lady, she met George Thomas Graves, and at the tender age of 18, on June 7, 1958 she united in marriage with him. They remained a devoted couple until his death in 2018. 
 
Mrs. Graves was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom until failing health forced an early retirement. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a long-time member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church. She loved her church family and her beautiful singing voice will be dearly missed.
 
SURVIVORS:
5 children: Randall T. Graves and wife Teriea, Youlanda Graves, Nereevah Ballanger, and Lisa Pickett, all of Campbellsville, KY; Stephanie Hill and husband Dan of Columbus, Georgia
8 siblings: Rev. Ronnie Turner and wife Judy of Campbellsville, Thomas Turner of Louisville, Roderick Turner and husband Craig Friend of North Carolina, Carrie Grady of Campbellsville, and Patricia Johnson, Virginia Brown, and Wanda Cooper and husband Allen, all of Louisville, and Zannie Mae Anderson of Campbellsville
8 grandchildren: Grant Graves, Whitney Graves, Tiffani Graves, Robert Ballanger III, Brian Stone, Betty Pickett, Alecia Graves Anderson and husband Tyrone, and Jaelin Taz Hill
4 great grandchildren: Micah Brodie, Aiana Graves, Brian Zarek Stone, and Jasiah Stone

Funeral Service: Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Pleasant Union Baptist Church, 426 Fallen Timber Rd, Campbellsville, KY with Rev. Michael Caldwell officiating
 
Visitation: Saturday, June 20, from 11:00 AM until time for the service at the church 
 
Burial: Mrs. Graves will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Union Church Cemetery beside her husband
