Melvin D. Scott, 65, of Science Hill, KY, son of the late Melvin James Scott & Elizabeth Marie Scott, was born April 2, 1955 in Arcadia, Florida and passed away on Sunday June 14, 2020 at his daughters home in Science Hill.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Waste Management for several years.

2 daughters: Susan Scott & fiance' Anthony Horton of Science Hill; Stephanie Short of Somerset
1 son: Steven Scott of Somerset
1 brother & sister-in-law: Gene & Elenor Scott of Arcadia, Florida
7 grandchildren: Hunter Denniston, Carter Denniston, Malakai Horton, Mason Horton, Tori Scott, Kaci Scott and Deavyn Simpson
Cremation was chosen by Mr. Scott and his family and no formal services will be conducted.
Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
