Margie Ann Lay, 65, of Campbellsville, KY passed from this life on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at her home. She was a daughter of the late James Welby and Mary Frances (Bryant) Propes.
Mrs. Lay had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a Southern Baptist. She retired from the Taylor County Board of Education as an adult educator. Mrs. Lay had a big heart and loved her family dearly. She enjoyed the challenge of working a puzzle or relaxing on her tablet or phone, but if the weather was right, she was usually found near the water trying to catch a mess of fish.

4 children: Jamie Ray Lay & wife Pam of Morganfield, KY; Stacie Lay & fiance’ Ryan West and Ashley Lay, both of Campbellsville, KY; David Brandon Lay of Somerset, KY
6 grandchildren: Benjamin Alexander Lay, Nelson Dewayne, Logan Cole, Spencer Propes, Elijah Beard, and Ethan Lay
1 Brother: James Russell Propes of Dunnville, KY
3 sisters: Carol Owens of Liberty, KY; Sharon Lee and Neva Woods & husband Scott, both of Lawrenceburg, KY

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Lay on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 1:00 PM at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery in Casey County.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 25, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 PM at L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY.
