JOHNNIE ALLEN COX, 48, ELK HORN

Johnnie Allen Cox, 48, of Elk Horn, KY passed from this life on May 14, 2020 in Bowling Green after an extended illness. He was born to the late Ovlin Joe and Annelle (Bault) Cox on September 2, 1971.

Mr. Cox had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. His honest, quiet, and unassuming demeanor belied a strength rarely seen, and served him well during the long days he spent working in the log woods. Riding his Harley, hunting, and fishing were some of his favorite pastimes, yet above that was time spent with his children and grandchildren. “Popeye”, as he was affectionately called, possessed a vast knowledge of all things outdoors, and he loved to share it with them.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Douglas Wayne Cox.
