DOROTHY CRABTREE, 85, CAMPBELLSVILLE


Dorothy Alice Crabtree, 85, of Campbellsville, KY passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at her home. Daughter of the late Thomas Rhodam and Ivy Dell (Beard) Edrington, she was born on August 7, 1934 in Green County, KY.

 

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a retired employee of Kmart and a homemaker. Mrs. Crabtree was the devoted wife of Mr. Dwight Allen Crabtree, and together they shared 67 years of marriage. She enjoyed working with her hands and keeping busy; she was usually found outside in her garden or somewhere hunting bargains with her family and friends.

 

SURVIVORS:

Husband: Dwight Crabtree of Campbellsville,

2 children: Rhodam Edward “Pete” Crabtree and wife Nancy of Knoxville, Tennessee; Allen Crabtree and wife Shana of Campbellsville

2 sisters: Virginia Holt of Mannsville, KY; Jewell Grooms of Yuma, Arizona

7 grandchildren: Kelsey Crabtree Maynard, Thomas Morgan Crabtree, Taylor Michael Crabtree, Katherine McLees Orem, Steven Hunter McLees, William Harper McLees, and Molly Elaine Crabtree

Special niece and nephew: Karen Bottoms and Wayne Holt

3 great-grandchildren

A host of other family and friends

  

She was also preceded in death by two siblings: Joe Thomas Edrington and Ruby May Edrington.

   

She will be laid to rest in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of Gideon Bibles. Those can be made by calling the funeral home at 270-465-5151.

 

Due to efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19 and recent requirements implemented by the Office of Governor Andy Beshear and the Kentucky Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, all funeral services will be performed privately.
