JACKEY RANDALL STANLEY, 56, HODGENVILLE

 
Jackey “Jack” Randall Stanley, 56, of Hodgenville, KY son of the late William “Bill” and Nancy (Van Horn) Stanley, was born June 9, 1963. He departed this life on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 in Louisville, KY at the Kindred Hospital after an extended illness. 
 
He had made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and was the pastor of Greater Works Church in Hodgenville. He was a gifted singer and musician. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and had served his country honorably as an officer in the United States Navy during Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and all things flying, and was an avid RC airman. He earned his living as a process engineer in the industrial field, but his passion was firmly planted in his God and his church life. 
 
SURVIVORS: 
Wife: Mrs. Geri Daneen (Bland) Stanley; 2 daughters: Jessica Wafford & husband Ryan, and Gentry Michael Stanley, all of Hodgenville; 1 half brother: Brian Campbell & wife Lara of Shelbyville, TN; 3 grandchildren: Evan, Owen, and Hensley Wafford; Father-in-law: Gerald “Jerry” Bland of Mannsville; Mother-in-law: Linda T. Bland of Campbellsville; 1 brother-in-law: Jason Bland & wife Kim; 1 niece: Maddie Bland of Campbellsville and a host of other family and friends.
 
Mr. Stanley was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Michael Bland, and a nephew, Dylan Bland.In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to the Galilean Children’s Home in Liberty, KY.
 
He will be laid to rest in the Tallow Creek Cemetery.
 
Due to efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19 and recent requirements implemented by the Office of Governor Andy Beshear and the Kentucky Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, all funeral services will be performed privately.
