MARGARET DOWELL PEPPER, 92, CAMPBELLSVILLE

 
Margaret Dowell Pepper, 92, of Campbellsville, KY daughter of the late Robert Selby Mitchell and Catherine White Mitchell was born July 29, 1927 in Taylor County, KY. She died at 5:45 A.M., Sunday, April 19, 2020 in Columbia, KY. 
 
She professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church. Margaret formerly managed Golden Thimble Fabric Store and later owned and managed Sew and Save Fabric Store where she and her Mother sold fabrics and made draperies and window treatments for nice homes, churches and funeral homes. She retired from the Taylor County PVA office after nearly 30 years service. She was known as one of the friendliest and kindest ladies one would ever meet. Her nieces and nephews would often turn to her for advice. The friends of her children loved talking and spending time with her. She had something nice to say about everyone and never failed to thank those who took care of her. She loved everyone.
 
She united in marriage to James A. “Chunky” Dowell December 26, 1944 and he preceded her in death August 16, 2001. She later united in marriage to Ivan Pepper January 16, 2004 and he preceded her in death September 7, 2013.
 
She was also preceded in death by a stepson, Ronnie Pepper, and two brothers: Joe Mitchell March 4, 2002 and James Mitchell November 21, 2013.
 
SURVIVORS: 2 sons and 1 daughter: Jimmy Dowell and wife Gayle of Campbellsville, Robert Dowell and wife Joyce of Louisville, and Gaylon Neat and husband Larry of Columbia; 2 step-daughters: Donna Rodgers and husband Bobby of Campbellsville, and Joyce McLaurin and husband Ed of Atlanta, Georgia; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 1 sister, Peggy Chewning and husband Bobby of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
