Louese Phillips Russell, 96, of Campbellsville, KY daughter of the late Lawrence William Phillips and Bertie Lee Eads Phillips, was born February 16, 1924 in Melvin, Illinois. She died at 6:39 P.M., Friday, April 17, 2020 in Campbellsville.
Louese professed faith in Christ and was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church. She loved her church and Sunday School class. Louese was a retired employee of the Taylor County PVA Office after many years of service. She enjoyed working in her yard and always gave her flowers special attention. She united in marriage to Fred Russell July 14, 1945. He preceded her in death November 5, 2008.
SURVIVORS: 2 daughters and 1 son: Donna Bright & husband Robert of Elk Horn, KY, Jerry Russell & wife Pam and Sheri Turpin & husband Joey of Campbellsville, KY; 4 grandchildren: Pam Bale & husband Tracy, Jenny Ethrington & husband Michael, Joanna Fields & husband Landry and McCall Thacker & husband Joseph; 4 step-grandchildren: Kent Bright, Jason Bright, Josh Mann and Caleb Mann; 9 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother: Robert “Bobby” Phillips; several nieces & nephews and many other relatives & friends.
Louese was also preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters: Fletcher Phillips, Howard Phillips, Merlin Phillips, Sonny Phillips, Mattie Pickett, Vernetta Paccamonti and Norma Jean Phillips and a step-granddaughter, Bethany Mann.
