Verlis "Shorty" Bloyd, 82, of Greensburg, KY, son of the late Bro. James Harvey "J.H." Bloyd and Dora Bird Moran Bloyd, was born March 10, 1938 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Friday, April 10, 2020 at his home.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was also a self-employed cattle buyer and farmer.

A brother and sister-in-law: Bro. Gleason and Barbara Bloyd of Greensburg, KY
A sister and brother-in-law: Wanda and Bro. Leo Curry of Greensburg, KY

Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY is in charge of arrangements.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund or the Bethlehem Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
