ELIZABETH "MAMIE" ESTES, 92, GREEN CO.

 
Elizabeth "Mamie" Jeffries Estes, 92, of Greensburg, KY daughter of the late Sallie Jeffries Hendricks, and step-father, Kemp Hendricks, was born on Friday, June 3, 1927 in Green County and departed this life on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at her daughter's home in Knoxville, Tennessee. 
 
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a long time member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was also retired from housekeeping with Jane Todd Crawford Hospital after 40 plus years of service.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Estes on November 4, 2012 having united in marriage in March of 1948.
 
SURVIVORS:
2 sons & a daughter-in-law: William "Bill" Miller of Greensburg, KY; James Mike & Becky Estes of Hodgenville, KY
6 daughters & 4 sons-in-law: Jayne Allen of Winchester, Vanita & Jack Holt of TN, Mary Jo Holloway of Greensburg, Carolyn & Tony Ford of Bardstown, Sherry & Tim Gupton of Campbellsville, and Peggy & James Sharp of Greensburg
17 grandchildren
40 great-grandchildren
12 great-great-grandchildren
1 special niece: Vivian Kinslow of Glasgow
2 special friends: Charlie Moon of Greensburg

There will be private services held for Elizabeth Jeffries Estes. 
 
Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg in charge of the services.
 
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund, or the Helping Hands Ministry at Bethlehem Baptist Church, which can be sent and made at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home.
