ROBERT CLOYD MATNEY, 84, GREEN CO.

 
Robert Cloyd Matney, 84, of Green County, KY, son of the late Sonnie Matney and Lula Edwards Matney, was born on Friday, September 20, 1935 in Green County and departed this life on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at his home. 
 
He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Fry Baptist Church where he was a Deacon for 50 plus years. He worked in maintenance for Ingersol Rand for 30 plus years, and was also a farmer.
 
SURVIVORS:
Wife of 63 years, Ozena Conner Matney of Green County, KY having united in marriage on June 23, 1956; 3 daughters and sons-in-law: Sheila and Clay Scott, Charlotte and Greg Laramore, and Sharon and Leroy Campbell all of Green County; 6 grandchildren: Nathan Laramore, Natalie Fox, Sherri Walker, Stephanie Ray, Luke Campbell, and Laura Smith; 13 great-grandchildren: Cameron Sawyer, Cambria Laramore, Connor Laramore, Braylie Fox, Emma Fox, Alyssa Walker, Landon Walker, Emma Walker, Liberty Ray, Maverick Ray, Xavier Ray, Braxton Smith, and Brayden Smith; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law: Wayne and Liz Matney, Gleason and Betty Matney all of Green County; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law: Anne Harmon, and Stella Louise and Dennis Whitlock all of Green County; and a host of other relatives and friends.
 
Mr. Matney was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother: Lenora Faulkner, Suzie Hedgespeth, and Phillip Matney.

Due to the Covic-19 pandemic and executive order by the Governor of Kentucky, funeral services for Robert Cloyd Matney will be conducted privately with burial in the Fry Cemetery. Bro. Larry Wisdom and Bro. Clay Scott officiating.
